BISS List 1.15.25: Spotlight on Casa Del Sol (1.25)+ Best of BISS this Week
Greetings from 37,000 Feet, BISS Listers!
As I write this from high above the clouds on my way to Atlanta, I’m filled with gratitude for the vibrant live music community we share. Your enthusiasm, your picks, and the amazing energy you bring to the BISS List keep me inspired every day. Even while traveling, live music is always on my mind.
Last week’s Monophonics + Lee Fields & The Expressions show at The Fillmore was nothing short of magical. It took me back to my roots with the Monophonics, whom I managed nearly 15 years ago! Watching their growth and evolution after all this time was a joy. And Lee Fields? A true soul legend whose passion and power continue to inspire. Check out a couple of videos from the show here to relive some of that magic!

SPOTLIGHT ON PLANETS ALIGNING
Casa Del Sol + The Minglewood Boys
Jan 25th @ Broadway Studios
Join San Francisco super-group Casa Del Sol at the historic Broadway Studios for a special night celebrating planetary alignment and the release of their debut album. The band, founded by singer/songwriter/guitarist John “Mad Johnny” Modell, features an all-star lineup: Wally Ingram on drums, Mike DiPirro on bass, and Mighty Dave Pellicciaro on keyboards. Casa Del Sol will perform their new album Strange Angels during a seated set promptly at 8pm. Following their performance, special guests The Minglewood Boys (Erik Lekas, Sean Swetland, Danny Eisenberg, and Wally Ingram) will keep the energy alive with a dance party, playing a lively set of Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band songs.
Jan 25th marks a rare cosmic event, when the planets align to create a powerful synergy, channeling intense energy into the universe and uniquely influencing emotions, thoughts, and decisions. It’s also Mad Johnny’s 65th birthday, so prepare yourself for quite a throwdown!!
