Wanted IV: A DangerAte Funktion

DangerAte, the host of this show, is an ever-evolving musical kaleidoscope. They are the foremost practitioners of JazSFunk. This San Francisco band is a rotating line up of some of the Bay’s hottest young talent and sure-fire seasoned veterans. The band is led by 21year-old multi-instrumentalist, engineer, producer and JazSFunk composer Daniel The D3 Cohen.

Line Up for this show will be The D3 Organ & Bass, Matthew Kesecker Drums, Tommy Kesecker on Vibes and Percussion, Evan Moore on Saxophones, Nicholas Chew on Trombone, Sebastian Pinillos on Saxophone, and Chris Aschman on Trumpet and Steel Drum.

Listen to “Find ‘em, Fool ‘em and Forget ‘em” by ORGŌNE, from the album Pacific Beat (Released 2023).

Orgone is an 8-piece soul machine driven by Dan Hastie and Sergio Rios, once two kids from the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles united by a hunger for raw soul recordings. We spoke with Dan and Sergio and they told us, “Pacific Beat was our version of a punk band playing disco at a boardwalk beach bar in Venice, California. We always loved the George Jackson version of ‘Find’em, Fool’em and Forget’em.’ There is also a version by the Osmends. Our inspiration was to combine the two.”
