Next weekend, 8/12 – 8/14 is my pre-birthday celebration at For The Funk of It Festival w/ Orgone, Lyrics Born, Sals Greenhouse + so many more. This year, the festival is taking place at Concow Campground in Oroville (Near Chico). We had to say goodbye to our beloved Belden but this gives us an opportunity to be creative with something new! Come celebrate with me and this amazing lineup of ALL FUNK!!
P.S.There are still some volunteer positions to fill if you want to earn yourself a ticket!
If you are staying in the Bay Area next weekend, then you will want to check out the Spotlight on Frost Amphitheater in the section below!
Also hope to see you all at Stern Grove on Sunday for Taj Mahal and Monophonics, two of my all time favorites!

SPOTLIGHT ON FROST AMPHITHEATER
Joe Russo’s Almost Dead
August 13th @ Frost Amphitheater
The Grateful Dead played at Frost Amphitheater 14 times in the 80s, and it’s fitting that their tribute band continues the tradition. Not only does this quintet play tight and vicious versions of some of the most complex songs in the Grateful Dead’s repertoire, but they play them with a rawness & energy absent from the stage since the ‘Live’ Dead era.
My Morning Jacket
August 14th @ Frost Amphitheater
Widely ranked among the greatest live bands of their generation, My Morning Jacket have long maintained their status as one of the most vital forces in American rock-and-roll. With their thrillingly expansive and eclectic sound, the Louisville-bred band has influenced an entire era of musicians, largely by staying one step ahead of mainstream pop culture and following their instincts to endless innovation.
