The Last Farewell Tour: With tongue stuck somewhat in cheek, Little Feat announces "The Last Farewell Tour," which will begin in April 2026. It was thes legendary sold-out performances at the famed Cafe Au Go Go in Greenwich Village that eventually led to the release of their phenomenal debut album, Live at the Cafe Au Go Go. Every summer some of Brazil's greatest musicians gather in the redwoods of Cazadero for California Brazil Camp, and every season several faculty members venture down to the Gardens to share their mesmerizing music. Past concerts have included some of the South American nation's most celebrated artists, such as Monica Salmaso, Teco Cardoso, Guinga and Fabiana Cozza. This year's show, "Brazilian Choro" is led by two masters at the forefront of a virtuosic instrumental tradition that marked Brazil's first African/European musical fusion, clarinetist/composer Alexandre Ribeiro and seven-string guitarist/composer Alessandro Penezzi. Born in late 19th century Rio de Janeiro, choro has undergone repeated revivals over the decades, while influencing almost every subsequent Brazilian idiom, from samba to Brazilian jazz. Frequent performing and recording partners, Penezzi and Ribeiro played an essential role in sparking the choro renaissance of the 1990s. They've forged deep ties to many Bay Area musical Brazilophiles and will be joined by several colleagues for an afternoon of jaw-dropping instrumental interplay.

The son of Ecuadoran immigrants, Roberto Carlos Lange is a producer and singer-songwriter who has created an expansive, intoxicating body of music as Helado Negro. Quicksand: It's impossible to overstate the influence that Quicksand have on the hardcore scene. Formed in New York City in 1990 out of the ashes of Gorilla Biscuits, Youth of Today, Burn and Bold, the band took the aggression of hardcore and added a more groove-driven crunch to it, unintentionally inventing the genre known today as a post-hardcore. After releasing two major-label masterpieces in the nineties--1993's Slip and 1995's Manic Compression--the band split up at the peak of their powers, only to reunite in 2012 and release Interiors and Distant Populations. Tangerine Dream is a German electronic music band founded in 1967 by Edgar Froese. The group has seen many personnel changes over the years, with Froese the only constant member until his death in January 2015. The best-known lineup of the group was its mid-1970s trio of Froese, Christopher Franke, and Peter Baumann. In 1979, Johannes Schmoelling replaced Baumann until his own departure in 1985. This lineup was notable for composing many movie soundtracks. Since Froese's death in 2015, the group has been under the leadership of Thorsten Quaeschning. Quaeschning is Froese's chosen successor and is currently the longest-serving band member, having joined in 2005. Quaeschning is currently joined by violinist Hoshiko Yamane who joined in 2011 and Paul Frick who joined in 2020.

The Breeders - Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson played their first show together on Friday 19th June, 1992, in a snooker hall behind Warrington Rugby Club in the north of England. Two days later, they supported Nirvana in Dublin and Belfast, and then played at Glastonbury. The Breeders - Kim Deal, Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson played their first show together on Friday 19th June, 1992, in a snooker hall behind Warrington Rugby Club in the north of England. Two days later, they supported Nirvana in Dublin and Belfast, and then played at Glastonbury. Back in the US, after playing 27 sold-out shows, they made their way to San Francisco to record Last Splash. Released on August 30th 1993, reviewers described Last Splash as, "effervescent," "blistering," and "incoherent." At its centre is the infectiously appealing, instantly recognisable 'Cannonball'. Na•m Amor and Kid Congo Powers met shortly before the pandemic in Tucson, Arizona. When the complete lockdowns hit everybody, Na•m, like lots of other musicians, reclused himself in his studio and started experimenting with longtime ideas that were on the shelf. The initial idea was to combine rockabilly/garage electric guitars with electronic drum machines and bass synthesizers, a vague intuition inspired by Link Wray's guitar tones in one hand and the electronic rawness of the band Suicide. After recording a couple tracks, Na•m got the idea of inviting Kid to collaborate in the making of some electric guitar "dialogs". MARK HUMMEL was born in New Haven, CT, but moved to Los Angeles as a newborn. Hummel took up an interest in blues harp & rock-blues music in high school, but soon discovered the originators like Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, & Little Walter. Soon after, Hummel frequented the Ash Grove club on Melrose Ave. in LA, where he saw (in a three-month period) three blues legends he would later work with on a regular basis: Charlie Musselwhite, Brownie McGhee (w/Sonny Terry) & James Cotton.
