Circles Around the Sun (CATS) is an American instrumental jam band formed in 2015 by guitarist Neal Casal, initially to create set-break music for the Grateful Dead’s “Fare Thee Well” concerts. Known for blending funk, jazz, soul, and psychedelic rock, the group has continued recording and touring despite the 2019 death of Casal, featuring members Adam MacDougall, Dan Horne, and Mark Levy.
