International Women’s Day Concert ft Maggie Forti, Shelley Doty, Andrea Prichett, Irene Sazer, Michaelle Goerlitz, Jeff Hobbs, and more
Join us for an International Women’s Day concert featuring Bay Area luminaries Irene Sazer is an Internationally known genre-hopping violinist/fiddler who has played with Ali Akbar Khan, Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Smoky Robinson, Frank Sinatra, David Grisman, Linda Rondstadt, Bjork, and Billy Joel, anda founding member of Turtle Island String Quartet. Maggie Forti is a lead vocalist known for her lush, soulful vocals, and personal, poetic, Indie-folk originals, she’s performed with Peter Rowan, Jerry Jeff Walker, Vicki Randle, Lindsay Lou, James Nash, Evie Laden, The Rainbow Girls, members of ALO, The Brother’s Comatose and more. Andrea Prichett is known for her rich vocal performances and her political and topical songwriting style. Formerly with the nationally recognized folk trio “Rebecca Riots,” she is a member of the “Wildcat Canyon” acoustic music collective, with Shelley Doty, Maggie Forti, Emily Shore, Green and other local favorites. Shelley Doty is a fantastic guitarist with a powerfully rich voice, as well as a prodigious songwriter, and dynamic performer.”Her many bands include Jambay, Pele-Juju, Shelley Doty X-Tet, and currently Skip the Needle whose members,(Vicki Randle, Kofy Brown, Katy Cash). Michelle Goerlitz is a versatile percussionist. A founding member of the renowned long-term projects The Blazing Redheads and Wild Mango, she has played, recorded and toured with Liche Fuentes, Holly Near, Mark Levine, Blame Sally, Barbara Higbie, Tret Fure, Jennifer Berezan, Mimi Fox, and Gina Breedlove, to name a few, spanning multiple genres of music from Brazilian to Middle Eastern to jazz, R&B and funk. Jeff Hobbs was a featured performer alongside Joan Baez and Sargent Splendor in the 2025 production of Soiled Dove with the Vau de Vire society cast. He plays many genres of music with a plethora of Bay Area bands using his improvisational approach. He’s best known for his playing in Rosin Coven, the original band for SF’s fantastic Edwardian Ball. “Jeff Hobbs plays cello, violin, mandolin, bass, clarinet and saxophone,. Anne Marie Praetzel (vocals/mandolin) grew up singing harmonies with her sisters on the back porch, and loves nothing more than adding vocal color to the musical mix. She sings with Bay Area bands, including Dead Enough, Peter Harris’s Grateful Band, Phil McGee & Friends, Scarlet Fyre, among others. Gerry Pagano is a stunning guitarist in numerous Bay Area bands!
