Formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California by guitarist Greg Ginn, Black Flag pioneered American hardcore punk. Known for raw intensity, graphic art by Raymond Pettibon, and relentless touring, the band cycled through iconic singers–including Keith Morris, Dez Cadena, and Henry Rollins–before disbanding in 1986 and later reuniting.
