The 2025 Terrapin Roadshow kicked off in grand style beneath towering redwoods at the Monte Rio Amphitheater on Saturday, May 31. The sun was warm, the crowd kept the vibes cool, and the music was hot. Terrapin Crossroads allstars for the show included Grahame Lesh, Elliott Peck, Dan “Lebo” Lebotiwtz, Sam Grisman, Ezra Lipp, Amy Helm, Jason Crosby, and Shannon Koehler.
Lesh and Peck kicked off the festivities with an acoustic set, joined for a few songs by Helm, Lebo, and Crosby. For the main event, two sets of electric jams included a number of Grateful Dead songs as expected (originals and covers), and also a version of Tom Waits “Way Down in the Hole.” Waits, who lives nearby, did not make an appearance, but Koehler stood in for him to sing and play harmonica on the bluesy tune.
While a crescent moon traversed the heavens above the trees, the show closed with a reprise of “Slipknot” into “Franklin’s Tower, with a penultimate jam by Lesh and Lebo playing the guitar duo licks from the Allman Brothers’ “Blue Sky.” And the roadshow goes on…
Here’s a ton of pics for your dining and dancing pleasure.

“Everybody lucky enough to enjoy the Wood Brothers’ show this past Saturday night at The Fillmore was treated to a foot-stomping, hip-swaying, rollicking set of both old and new tunes by the Nashville (and British Columbia) -based trio. The atmosphere was jovial and joyous and felt like the best backyard barbecue ever with your most musical friends.” ~Josh Danson, BISS List Contributing Editor **If you missed it last week, be sure to read Josh’s interview with Chris Wood from last week’s BISS: Read the Interview here.
