Funk music has a rich history of promoting cultural connection and creative expression as well as social consciousness and artistic integrity. Inspired to celebrate and explore this legacy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit called Down To Funk Fund was founded in December, 2025 by a small gathering of musicians, organizers, and creatives for the purpose of producing Down To Funk Festival. Both are focused on nurturing the history, culture and community of feel-good-do-good funk music. Can you dig it?
