From jaw-dropping sit-ins at Boom Boom Room to VIP magic with moe. at The Fillmore, last weekend was packed with unforgettable moments. If you missed any of it, don’t worry—we’ve got the recap right here!

2/7 – Nate’s Werthless Good Time at Boom Boom Room: Nate’s Werthless Good Time lit up the Boom Boom Room with an electrifying set featuring Nate Werth (Snarky Puppy, Ghost-Note), Max Cowan (Atta Kid), Otis McDonald (Atta Kid, Jazz Mafia), Peter Knudsen (Ghost-Note), and Jason Muscat (Atta Kid). Then, the night went next level when Lorenzo Loera (California Honeydrops) jumped in, followed by a surprise sit-in from Blaque Dynamite (Mike Mitchell) on drums, Max Gerl on bass, Kwinton Gray on keys, and John Palowitch on saxophone—fresh off their night-three wrap at Black Cat. And the best part? Nate’s Werthless Good Time is coming back to Boom Boom Room on March 21, 2025! Mark your calendars now—you won’t want to miss this one! Check out the videos and pictures.
Also on 2/7 – DangerAte at BBR: DangerAte threw down another killer set opening for Nate Werth, this time with DJ Kevvy Kev adding fresh beats to the mix. Expect more of this vibe at their next show on Thursday, 2/20, featuring DJ Kevvy Kev & Soulati for a Hip Hop Funkathon! No cover – just grooves!
2/8 – moe. at The Fillmore: Another killer night with moe. at The Fillmore! The VIP experience was a treat—60 lucky fans got an intimate mini-set and a fun Q&A session before the main event. Then, the full show delivered two jam-packed sets featuring fresh new songs and a surprise Genesis cover. The energy was high, the jams were tight, and the crowd was all in. 2/8 – (Late night) at BBR with Tracorum +++: The after-party at Boom Boom Room after moe. brought back those old-school late-night vibes—when you never knew. Tracorum kept the late-night energy alive, and as the night unfolded, special guests started rolling in. Members of moe. and Lotus came through to hang, and things got even hotter when Lotus guitarist Tim Palmieri and drummer Mike Greenfield jumped in. Earlier in the night, Bon Bon Vivant joined the party, with their singer and two horn players each sitting in for a song.🔥 Late-night good times, indeed, see for yourself right here!

Sadly I missed the show at the Masonic on 2/8 celebrating the legacy of legendary folk singer Joan Baez with a TON of special guests. If you were there, please feel free to reply and share your experience!

Dead on the Creek

Aug 8th – 10th @ Black Oak Ranch

The beloved event inspired by the timeless music and spirit of Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead is back! An intimate gathering in gorgeous Mendocino County featuring three days of mighty fine music, camping under the stars, delicious meals of locally-sourced ingredients, and activities for the whole family.

This year’s lineup features a stellar roster of performers: Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, The Freestone Peaches, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, Brown Eyed Women, Achilles Wheel, Broken Compass Bluegrass, Shakedown Strings, Alamo Mission Band, and Shakedown String Band.

Dead on the Creek pays homage to the improvisational energy, deep connection, and sense of togetherness that Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead inspired in their fans. Starting as a small gathering of Deadheads on Uncle John’s property in Willits, it was moved to Black Oak Ranch in 2024. This festival creates a space where music lovers can gather to celebrate the shared spirit inspired by the legendary band that brought people together through music. This year marks the 30th year of Jerry Garcia’s passing on to another space and the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead journey.
