Happy Tuesday BISS Listers!

I know, we are sending this to you a day early this week… but I am headed out of town to work at Hangtown Music Festival. There is way too much good stuff happening to not tell you all about it!

Obviously, I would love to dance with all of you at this final year of Hangtown Music Festival (10/20-10/23) featuring Railroad Earth (3 nights!), Beats Antique, The Floozies, Yonder Mountain String Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Molly Tuttle, The Mother Hips, Polyrhythmics, Ryan Montbleau Band, Boot Juice, Lowdown Brass Band, Achilles Wheel, and so much more. If you will be there, you can find me working at the SupernaturALL Lounge! Congrats again to our winner Katrina E!

If I were in town this weekend, I would be going to see Motet both Friday and Saturday nights(*Win Tix*) PLUS The Sound Summit with War on Drugs on Saturday on Mt. Tam (*Win Tix*). Check out the Best of BISS below, to see PLENTY more of our top picks for this week!

Sound Summit

Oct 22nd @ Mountain Theater (Mount Tamalpais)

A musical gathering like no other! The daylong festival returns to the slopes of Mt. Tam on Saturday, October 22. Featuring a day of great music amidst the Bay Area’s favorite season, Sound Summit’s lineup includes The New Yorker-named “best American rock band of this decade,” The War On Drugs; critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Faye Webster; beloved indie folk-rockers Fruit Bats; and soulful local ensemble Wreckless Strangers. High-spirited KNBR radio personalities Murph & Mac (aka Brian Murphy and Paul McCaffrey) return as the day’s dynamic Masters of Ceremonies along with KPFA’s “Dead to the World” radio host Tim Lynch. DJ Andy Cabic of Vetiver fame will keep the groove going and spin tunes between sets.
