Born right here in Chico, CA, The Mother Hips are a beloved institution and “college band” from back in the day……. How exciting that they warrant a tribute band dedicated to their music! Isaac Parsons (original bassist/co-founder of the Mother Hips) & Robby Dean (Ryder Thieves) had a notion to pay homage to the early era of the Mother Hips music. It was the 90’s. Everything was fast and loose, and the tunes reflected an era of youthful bliss and angst. “Ike and I have been talking about this project for years. We finally found the right guys that also have the passion and respect for the Hips music. It’s like a time warp, We just wanna have a good time & give these early Hips tunes some love……As Tim used to say, ‘it’s a full-blown rock show,” says Dean. Rounding out the group with an additional guitar is Jeremy Plog (Jackie Greene/Golden Cadillacs) with Jerry Barton on drums (Officer Dick/As Yet Untitled).
