BISS List 1.5.23: Spotlight on Goldenvoice + Best of BISS this Week

Happy New Year BISS Listers!

I hope your 2023 is off to a happy and healthy start! I am looking forward to a new year filled with non-stop dancing to all the amazing music that is coming up on this year’s calendar. That is, right after the floods subside (and after I recover too).

I started to look ahead at the Best Of BISS shows coming up. I know this crowd likes to do a lot of walk-up but… I mean… Smoked Out, Jazz Is Dead, Dark Star, Pimps, Standley Clarke, Dead Winter, RRE, Karl Denson, Tracorum, Lettuce, Wood Brothers, Blind Boys, Budos, Mavis, & Marchfourth. Just to name a few between now and the end of Feb.

Jazz is Dead

Jan 13th @ Regency Ballroom

The acclaimed All-Star instrumental ensemble, famous for interpretations of classic Grateful Dead songs with jazz influences, returns in 2023 to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. Co-founder Alphonso Johnson will be joined by Steve Kimock, Pete Lavezzoli & Bobby Lee Rodgers, performing Grateful Dead’s ‘Wake of The Flood’ marking it’s 50th Anniversary, in addition to other beloved selections.
