Pamela is away this week, kicking off her 50th b-day celebration with a vacation in Puerta Vallarta. Have you #markedyourcalendar for her b-day party 8/20 @ Boom Boom Room?

In the meantime let’s talk Friday night. Might I suggest a mini, do-it-yourself For the Funk of It? Get a taste of the funky fest with two shows and no less than four FTFOI performers. Start your night with Bay Area legend Lyrics Born at beautiful Bruns Amphitheater in the Berkeley Hills, get there early and bring a picnic to enjoy among the redwoods and eucalyptus grove. Next, book it back to SF for larger-than-life Lantz Lazwell & The Vibe Tribe featuring Jenes, and Litty Debungus at Boom Boom Room.

Paper Moon Presents: Lyrics Born

July 29th @ Bruns Amphitheater

Paper Moon Presents returns to the Bruns Amphitheater for a night of soul and good vibe hip-hop at a spectacular and intimate setting in the Berkeley hills, a magical bay area venue long the home to Cal Shakespeare. A full evening experience – start with music and a picnic and end with a spectacular show under the stars. It is going to be the best night ever.

Lyrics Born relocated to the United States from his birthplace of Toyko, Japan right around the time Hip Hop was exploding on the East Coast. Twenty-five years later, LB has obliterated the stereotypes of what an MC is “supposed to” look like and captured the hearts of countless fans who gravitate to his distinctive voice. August 12th – 14th @ Lake Concow Campground

It has been far too long since we have all been able to get together and FUNK it up as a family. We have endured a pandemic and a massive wildfire. But FTFOI is back, like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, traveling towards the light. A new journey awaits this year at magical, healing Lake Concow campground. With so many changes, comes the opportunity to be creative with something new. New additions like late-night music around the fire pit with performances from Irayz Aerial & Fire Movement, followed by DJs spinning Silent Disco into the late-late night, an onsite bar powered by Sierra Nevada, South Fork Vodka, Big Sexy Brewing Co, and Lassen Traditional Cider, and be sure to stop by the Blacklight Tea Lounge when you’re looking for some chill space

And of course the same great music and vibes as always. Lineup includes Orgone, Lyrics Born, Sal’s Greenhouse,The Grease Traps, Jazz Mafia’s Grateful Brass, Maxwell Friedman Group, Object Heavy, Lantz Lazwell & The Vibe Tribe, Jenes N The Juice, Litty DeBungus, & More!!
