BISS List 8.8.24: Spotlight on Mountain SOL (8.24 & 8.25) + Best of BISS this Week

Happy Thursday, music lovers! 🎶 Hope you’re all groovin’ into another awesome weekend.

Who else attended the Locomotion festival last weekend? I had an awesome and unforgettable time! The music was non-stop fantastic, the vibes were high, and the crowd was having a blast. From the moment the first train pulled into Roaring Camp, it was clear this was going to be a weekend to remember.

A huge shoutout to the entire crew behind the festival – SOL Brothers, you guys nailed it! I had the best time working (and playing!) throughout the weekend. Judging by the smiles all around, I am sure anyone in attendance would agree.

My spot? The super chill Club Loco VIP lounge, just a stone’s throw from the stage (with the best shade, might I add 😉). And let’s not forget my amazing assistant, Skye, and our small but mighty crew of music loving volunteers who all worked tirelessly behind the scenes to create an unforgettable experience for everyone. Thank you to Corey, Lauren, Gina, Michelle, & Warren who have all been on our crew before, making it all look so easy. And thank you to Sean for jumping in to join our crew for the first time. The whole crew were winning compliments from the Club Loco customers every day!

The highlight of my weekend? Chatting with so many BISS Listers on Saturday while rocking my BISS T-shirt. So much fun meeting you all of you I hadn’t met before! And of course, was a pleasure to dance with all of you I already know!

If you prefer to add your photos and videos to the Facebook album, message me and I’ll add you as a contributor there. Whether you attended the festival or not, this is a great way to relive the experience or simply get a taste of what it was like.

This Weekend, I had previously expected to be out of town so I am just catching up and making some decisions on the happenings for this weekend. I know that on Friday, I will be celebrating the Days Between with The China Dolls at Sweetwater (*WIN*). Then on Saturday, I will be celebrating with Sean for his bday. Happy Bday Sean! And on Sunday, I can’t miss the chance to see a true jazz icon and innovator perform live. Herbie Hancock has shaped the course of music for decades, and experiencing his artistry in person will be unforgettable.

For those of you hitting up For The Funk Of It this weekend in Belden, have a blast and take good care of my boys in LAZWELL. ++ Watch for Lantz Lazwell to be sitting in all over the festival all three days!

Santa Cruz Mountain SOL Festival returns to the stunning Roaring Camp Railway Park on August 24th and 25th. Immerse yourself in a weekend of live music nestled amongst towering redwoods. It’s the perfect escape for a memorable summer experience.
