I AM THANKFUL FOR so many things today: my friends; my family; our musical community; of course THE MUSIC; and ALL OF YOU! I am also feeling pretty thankful to Deadheadland for the opportunity to see Ross James & Eric Krasno this Saturday for an intimate backyard show.

Thanksgiving means the holiday season is starting which means more epic music to enjoy! The musical kickoff starts next weekend with Jazz Mafia’s Holiday Heist at SF Jazz, Dec 1st through 4th. Details in the spotlight below.

Hide the presents and spike the punch! The irrepressibly funky Jazz Mafia collective celebrates the season with their Holiday Heist, purloining songs from under every tree. Featuring soulful vocalists, rollicking horns, and the ambidextrous work of Mafia chief Adam Theis pivoting from bass lines to trombone riffs, Holiday Heist offers something for everyone. Four nights, with two shows each night!

Jazz Mafia is a wrecking crew of musicians, composers, and producers whose music, media, and curated experiences shape tastes and elevate the community.
