BISS List 8.29.24: Spotlight on TEN + Best of BISS this Week

Happy End of Summer, BISS Listers!

As we dive into the last week of August, the music scene is still as hot as the weather. The calendar continues to overflow with amazing live music in the Bay Area & Beyond!

Let me start with last week… I had the privilege of working at a fantastic fundraising event supporting the Mayacamas Fire Department in Glen Ellen on Friday and Saturday. Yes, it was on my birthday, but there’s no place I’d rather have been. The event was a huge success, and it felt great to be part of such an important cause. Thank you to BEW Productions for including me on the team!

But I didn’t miss out on all the musical birthday fun over the weekend! Sunday was a blast! We celebrated with some incredible live music at Groove Summit, including a standout set from Ghost-Note. Their energy was off the charts, and they really know how to bring the groove. And then there was Tower of Power—what a treat! They’ve been around for ages, yet we don’t get to see them so often recently. It was terrific to catch their show and watch them funk it up like only they can.

It’s so incredible that many of you were able to get out there and have reported back on your musical adventures! It sounds like you all had a blast! Billy Strings definitely rocked everyone’s world; Michael Franti brought the good vibes; Chaka Khan killed it; and Fearless Flyers & Lettuce threw down some serious funk. Without further ado, let’s dive into this coming week!

I’m beyond excited to invite YOU to my birthday celebration in San Francisco this Friday—granted, it’s a week after my actual birthday but this is the official soiree.  We’re kicking things off at Sheba Lounge for the B & B Happy Hour (Birthday and BISS List); A Toast To The Future, where we are announcing exciting new BISS-full plans! Then it’s off to the Boom Boom Room for an epic night with TEN: Thomas Pridgen, Eric McFadden, and Norwood Fisher, with special guest Danny Eisenberg (*WIN*). Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one, so get your tickets now! Find out more about this show in the spotlight below.

It’s all about the Boom Boom Room this weekend, as I will also be there for Alphabet Soup + DangerAte this Saturday (*WIN*). Alphabet Soup is an old-school Bay Area supergroup that rarely gets together. It has been way too long since I’ve seen them live, so I’m stoked. DangerAte, another favorite of mine, will kick the night off right.

As Always: Scroll down to explore the Best of BISS section for all the best picks of the week. Be sure to enter for a chance to Win Tickets! And there is even more to discover on the Full Calendar.
