First of all, Happy Birthday to Spor today!! I hope you are all feeling good and staying healthy! Isn’t it great to see so many great shows on the BISS Calendar these days? The Best of BISS section is overflowing with good stuff! Not to mention the many many opportunities to win tickets!!

June 2nd: HealthRIGHT 360 Black Tie & Tie Dye Benefit Happening for Haight Ashbury Free Medical Clinic w/ Jazz Mafia’s Grateful Brass. Volunteers still needed.
June 10 – 12: Hog Farm Hideaway This intimate family friendly music festival features three nights with The String Cheese Incident plus many more amazing artists.
June 18th: First Annual Official Tupac Day in Oakland An all day, family-friendly event featuring poetry readings, inspirational speakers, and live performances celebrating the amazing life of Tupac Shakur. Featuring Money B (Digital Underground) + Special Guests: Volunteers signups here.
June 30 – July 3: High Sierra Music Festival 30th anniversary with Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, Greensky Bluegrass, The Disco Biscuits, Goose, and much more.
August 12-14: For the Funk of It Three days and nights filled with good people, good times, and good vibes! With Orgōne, Lyrics Born, Sal’s Greenhouse, and more of the FUNKiest rhythms happening around the globe today!

Paper Moon Presents returns to the Cal Shakes/Bruns Amphitheater in July with another round of concerts among the redwoods and eucalyptus. Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Brett Dennen was born and raised in Oakdale. Growing up in gold-rush country, Dennen learned early on to appreciate the small things in life. Siesta Valley Strings and Things Music Festival

July 31st @ Bruns Amphitheater

A great day of fiddles, banjos, guitars, and all sorts of stringy things in the beautiful Berkeley Hills. The great line-up includes Sam Bush, AJ Lee and Blue Summit, Tony Furtado, Nat Keefe & Erik Yates of Hot Buttered Rum, and more. Doors @ 1 PM.
