BISS List 11.26.25 Spotlight on A Benefit for Dani (11.30) + The Best of BISS This Week

Happy Thanksgiving week, BISS Listers. 💜

I hope you are finding a little time to breathe, to eat something delicious, and to be around people who fill your cup as we head into the holiday. I am grateful for every one of you who shows up for live music, supports independent artists, and helps this community stay strong. The BISS List exists because of the people who read it, share it, dance with it, and keep the groove alive week after week.

Last Week in Review: What a week it was! One of those stretches where you look back and think, did that really all happen in six days. It kicked off Tuesday 11/18 with David Byrne at Bill Graham Civic, then Wednesday brought Samantha Fish absolutely tearing up The Fillmore. By Thursday I was somehow still standing and LowDown Brass Band delivered pure Chicago fire at Black Cat. Friday doubled up with BERTHA’s Grateful Drag at GAMH followed by The Nth Power at Boom Boom Room, because of course two must-see shows landed on the same night. And then Saturday capped it all with the Fancy Pants Party in Stinson, a sweet, sparkly, friends filled night that pulled the whole week together.

Fri Dec 5: Jorma Kaukonen’s 85th Birthday @ The Masonic – This one sold out instantly and we only had one pair to give away! There were so many entries I had to spin the wheel to pick our winner. Jorma celebrates 85 with a stacked lineup including Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Bruce Cockburn, Jack Casady, and more. It’s going to be one for the books.

SPOTLIGHT ON BENEFIT FOR DANI

A Benefit for Dani ft Catfight

Nov 30th @ Sweetwater Music Hall

Earlier this year Dani Levy was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Dani is a beloved member of our music community and the wife of Jeff Miller from the band New Monsoon. The Miller family has had to endure extreme stress and financial burden during a 6 month treatment plan of chemotherapy and a Bone Marrow Transplant at Stanford Hospital. Dani also cannot work for over a year while she recovers. This great evening of music will raise funds to support Dani and the Miller Family.

There is a huge list of incredible musicians performing (25 so far!). Featuring Catfight: Teal Collins, Jeff Miller, Angeline Saris, Daria Johnson, and Jordan Feinstein, plus a growing list of special guests including: Bo Carper, Phil Ferlino, Mark Murphy, Marty Ylitalo, Ben Bernstein, Steve Adams, Ezra Lipp, Josh Zee, Jason Beard, Jon Chi, Hattie Craven, Joe Craven, Jonny Flores, Sean Leahy, Jen Rund, Mark Karan, Reed Mathis, James Nash, Nate Keefe, and Erik Yates.
