Pam Benjamin has been the Director/Owner of Mutiny Radio since 2013. Mutiny Radio runs 5 open mics a week as well as producing various comedy showcases. Pam is a staunch feminist who stereotypically LOVES cats and writing political poetry, but also writes jokes and has been performing comedy since 2011.

Listen to “Abra-Ka-Dad-Bod” by seven-piece cosmic funk ensemble Smokey The Groove, from their new album Out of the Smoke. Smokey’s songs are mostly instrumental, sometimes cleverly named, and always heartfelt and evocative. This album explores their journey through the turbulent and fiery times that helped make them who they are.

“Abra-Ka-Dad-Bod” is bombastic, has twists and turns, and makes you want to shake your booty. Like their live shows, things move fast and drift and spin into different styles and tones to keep the listener satisfied. Saxophonist Kevin Killion told us this about the song, “It teases the magic of getting older and more in tune with our musical wizardry. It really blasts the listener into the stratosphere with fat drum and bass, and a horn line that builds dancers to a groovin’ climax.”
