Thu 10/23: Rocky Horror @ Oasis – Halloween week kicked off in full drag with the stage play version of Rocky Horror at Oasis. Pure San Francisco magic with Darcy Drollinger as Frankenfurter. Check out the photos and videos here.

Fri 10/24 (Late Night): The New Mastersounds + Fuzz Collective @ Boom Boom Room – The funk rolled deep into the night when The New Mastersounds took over the stage from Fuzz Collective for a surprise full late set at Boom Boom Room. Check out the photos and videos here.

Fri 10/31: Halloween FreakFunktacular ft Katdelic w/ Starchild Jr and The Humidors @ Boom Boom Room (*WIN*) – Halloween night! These two bands rock on any night! But this FreakFunktacular & Costume Ball, with a costume contest judged by Noir Burlesque and yours truly, will be Halloween night to remember!
Sat 11/1: ALO’s Halloweekend Haunt w/ Big Light @ Mystic Theatre in Petaluma (*WIN*) – dress your best for the costume contest with special guest judges (including yours truly!)
10/31 or 11/1: Vau de Vire Presents Soiled Dove: Immersive Circus & Dinner Show ft Joan Baez and Sgt Splendor @ Radium in Alameda – If not this weekend, then next weekend!! They just added one more weekend… It only runs three more weeks, through November 15th!

Tori Roze & The Hot Mess + Ginger Molasses

A red velvet curtain, checkerboard floors, and a disco ball all wait in the fog of anticipation for TWO of the most passionate female-fronted forces of sonic soulfulness to hit the San Francisco scene in a while. We are specifically talking about Tori Roze & The Hot Mess and Ginger Molasses taking the stage at the Boom Boom Room on Friday November 7th. Ginger Molasses immediately entices you with their visual thrift store glam rock vibes, then follows it up by delivering solid vintage rock and soul sounds with a modern lyrical twist. Tori Roze & The Hot Mess are a motley wrecking crew of fantastic musicians. They provide you with that “je ne sais quoi” blend of extremely enticing funky-jazzy-neo-soul – including horns and gritty yet sultry powerhouse vocals painted atop its bars of original flavor. These two bands provide ALL of the feels one wishes to experience at a live music venue – seriously, the WHOLE range of emotions – your cup will spilleth over and be FULL to the brim with replenishment. Thirsty? Then allow this evening to refill your proverbial cup while you hit the dance floor!
