BISS List 9.24.25 Spotlight on The River Rendezvous (9.26-27) + The Best of BISS This Week

Happy New Year to all who are celebrating this week!

BISS List has always stayed true to what we are about: the music and the community that surrounds it. I stay away from the three no-no’s, sex, religion, and politics, because music brings us together and those things can really divide us, especially lately. That said, I am referencing the Jewish New Year and the traditions around it.

I’ve always appreciated this time as a chance to reflect on the past and step into the future with fresh energy. I especially love the idea that what you do in the first 10 days of the new year sets the tone for the year ahead. For me, that means focusing on music, community, and connection, and carrying that energy forward. Here’s to new beginnings, meaningful reflections, and a year full of great shows and good company. 💜 Shana Tova!

Last Week in Review
I didn’t make it out to the shows myself this past week due to personal obligations, but I know plenty of you did! I posted on both Instagram and Facebook, and I’d love for you to share your highlights there, with photos, comments, or just what made you smile. It’s always fun to see the scene through your eyes, and it helps keep the BISS List vibe alive, whether we’re at the same show or not.

What’s On My Radar This Week
Here are a few shows I’ve got my eye on this week…

These picks are just a slice of what’s happening. For the full spread, head to the Best of BISS, the full calendar, and the Win Tickets page.

As we step into the fall season, I want to take a moment to thank you for being part of the BISS community. Keeping this going has always been a labor of love, and your support means everything. If you’d like to help BISS continue to grow and thrive, here are a couple of ways to do that:

Make a tax-deductible donation – The BISS List is now fiscally sponsored by Independent Arts & Media, which means your donation directly supports our mission and is tax-deductible! Every contribution helps us grow, support artists, and serve the community even better. Donate here.

Join our Patreon – Want to support and get perks? Patreon gives you a way to back the music you love while enjoying exclusive benefits. Your membership helps cover essential costs and keeps BISS thriving without constant financial stress. Join here.

That’s it for this week. As we move into fall, let’s carry forward the energy of fresh starts, meaningful connections, and of course, plenty of live music. Hope to see you out there! And thank you for keeping the BISS spirit alive with me.

Much love and funky vibes,
~ Pamela aka Miss BISS

SPOTLIGHT ON RANCHO NICASIO

BBQ on the Lawn at Rancho Nicasio

9/28 Stu Allen & Reflections + New Monsoon

10/4 Pete Floyd Laser Light Show

Win Tickets

Rancho Nicasio has been a live music mainstay in the heart of Marin for decades. From intimate shows inside the rustic Rancho Room to outdoor concerts on the lawn, it’s the kind of spot where the setting feels as soulful as the bands on stage. Great sound, great crowd, and a history of hosting some serious talent — Rancho is where you go when you want the music to take center stage. All summer long, their BBQ on the Lawn series brings big sounds to the open air — think great bands, smoky BBQ, and a crowd ready to dance on the grass. It’s a music-first experience with food, drinks, and a stunning backdrop that makes every show feel like a getaway. We’re particularly excited about the next two shows coming up!

This Sunday, Sept 28th is a double bill with Stu Allen & Reflections + New Monsoon. Stu Allen on guitar with Cheryl Rucker, Sunshine Becker, Scott Guberman, Murph Murphy, Ezra Lipp playing music for the Deadhead community. Plus Bay Area jam scene staple New Monsoon with their unique blend of both electric and acoustic sounds, sophisticated songcraft, and infectious grooves.

Then next Saturday, Oct 4th is their first ever laser light show with Pete Floyd! Step into the mesmerizing world of Pete Floyd, a premier Pink Floyd tribute band recreating the vibrant sound and immersive experience of Pink Floyd’s legendary catalog. At the heart of Pete Floyd are the two brilliant Petes. Pete Delaney, the dynamic guitarist and vocalist known for his work with The Grain and Avocado Sundae, and Pete Hale, a multi-instrumentalist powerhouse from The Hots and The Dictator Tots. Together, they lead a lineup of eight exceptional musicians, with the vocal magic of Pete Floyd comes to life through Teal Collins (Mother Truckers) and Paige Clem (Terrapin Crossroads).
