Happy Mardi Gras + Happy Lunar New Year, BISS Listers 💛

Mardi Gras and Lunar New Year both landed on Tuesday of this week. Different traditions. Different histories. Same day. One is brass bands, beads, and joyful chaos. The other centers on renewal, intention, and fresh starts. Celebration and reflection sharing the same space feels right. This past week carried both energies. Big rooms and intimate ones. Deep grooves. Packed dance floors. Thoughtful community contributions. Meaningful nights worth revisiting.

House of Love ft Casa Del Sol + Dagnasterpus

Feb 26th @ Boom Boom Room

Introducing House of Love, a new monthly musical collaboration curated by Casa Del Sol and hosted by John “Mad Johnny” Modell, Wally “Llama” Ingram, and Joby “Marmot King” Pritzker. This BBR residency takes place on the last Thursday of each month, launching February 26.

Each monthly event features an original set by Casa Del Sol, followed by a performance from a band or artist with whom they share a close musical kinship, or a novel act they’re excited to introduce to our Bay Area community of deep music lovers. The third act of the night will be a cross-collaboration with more special guests and musical luminaries. This month, they share the stage with Dagnasterpus, a fantastic Los Angeles band led by Tree Adams.

Casa Del Sol is on a mission to draw upon the rich musical heritage of San Francisco in order to foster a regular collective of artists and music lovers which honors and expands upon that spirit. Join us at the House of Love!

SF Music Week

SF Music Week is a citywide celebration of San Francisco’s music ecosystem, with events happening all week across the city.

BISS is highlighting SF Music Week events connected to She Is The Music, a nonprofit supporting women and gender-expansive professionals in music, including Kelly McFarling: Performance + Conversation and panels such as Women Leading the Bay Area Music Scene and Inside the Bay Area’s Grassroots Music Ecosystem.

We are also excited to share that SF Music Week’s Industry Summit on Feb 27th includes a Speed Networking session hosted by our own Pamela Gerstein aka Miss BISS. Designed for artists, creatives, and music professionals who want meaningful conversation (not just business card swaps), this experience connects you with 20+ industry leaders in fast-paced, low-pressure rounds built to spark collaboration and real opportunity. Cyrill Neville Mardi Gras Celebration
