BISS List 11.7.24: Spotlight on Holiday Highlights + Best of BISS this Week

Happy Thursday, BISS Listers! Ready to crank up the volume and let the music take you away? Me too!

Flashback to last week’s musical adventures… How was your Halloween night? Mine was a full night, for sure! I kicked things off with the DangerAte Duo at Sheba Lounge and caught this little clip when Jordan Feinstein stopped by and sat in. Buckethead never disappoints, and Halloween night was no exception at the Fillmore. He is just so good. I love that one minute, he is playing Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka, and then the next minute, he’s playing The Wizard by Black Sabbath. His guitar skills are otherworldly. After that, I rolled over to Boom Boom Room for the end of The Attic’s set, followed by SF is Dead Allstars with Jordan Feinstein on keys, Reed Mathis on guitar, Anna Elva on Drums, and Mike Meagher on bass. Emerson Rose sat in on vocals, PLUS a very special guest on harmonica and vox, Richard Egan. This stellar long set wrapped Halloween with a bang! And, a big THANK YOU to Corey, long-time BISS supporter and now Patreon member, for contributing pics and videos from the Spafford show at SWMH!

Saturday kept the energy high, starting with the Rebirth Brass Band at Sweetwater and then Blü Egyptian at Boom Boom Room. And for those who missed Blü Egyptian, good news—they’re back this Friday at Longboard with LAZWELL! This is a killer double bill, so who’s joining me? Discounted tickets are still available, so get on it!

I would have loved to see either Aimee Mann at the Fillmore or King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard at the Frost on Monday, but I was wiped out from a big weekend. For those of you who made it to these shows or any other good shows recently, I’d love to see your photos & videos!
