BISS List 10.11.23: Spotlight on #WINTICKETS + Best of BISS this Week

Happy Almost Sugar Pine Festival formerly known as Hangtown also referred to as “Lo Sierra”…

Yes, I am off next week to work at Sugar Pine Festival and my head is kinda already there. So this week will be short and sweet. And you still have one last chance to *WIN* tickets to Sugar Pine, but make sure to enter now because we will be picking winners very soon!

#Lastweekend, I only captured two shows for you on Saturday, 10/7/23: 1) Billy Strings at Frost Amphitheater; and 2) late night at Boom Boom Room with David Byrd & Byrds of a Feather. #ThisWeek, the Bay Area and beyond are ablaze with the fires of enchantment, as the muses kindle the hearts of all who bear witness. The Best of BISS section below holds a trove of treasures to be discovered, but let us offer you a glimpse of the magic. As the stars twinkle above, Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade shall take the stage at The Fox in Oakland tonight (10/11), while Lyrics Born shall weave his lyrical spells at Lost on Main in Chico on the 12th (*WIN*). The heart of the city shall resonate with the joyous NOLA funk of Rebirth Brass Band at the Indy on the 13th and 14th, while Fourth Position shall enrapture the night owls at BBR on the 13th (*WIN*). In Santa Cruz, Moe’s Alley shall vibrate with the rhythms of Diggin Dirt on the 13th, while the Frost Amphitheater shall host the spellbinding Joe Russe’s Almost Dead (*WIN*). And last but not least, Wilco shall grace the Greek on the 14th. Win Tickets from the BISS List!

Wondering how you can show your love for live music? As a devoted fan, spreading the word about upcoming shows is an excellent way to support the bands, venues, promoters, and BISS List! All of the contests are listed on our website at bisslist.com/win-tickets, and you can also find the contests for some of our favorite shows on our social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter).

All of our contests are Share to Win, so we need you to help spread the word! You can do this by sharing the show information with your friends. This could be a link from our site or from the venue page or the event image from an online post through Facebook, Instagram, or other Social Media platform. Listen to “Sounds Like a Party” by Lettuce, from their album Live in Amsterdam (Released 2023).

This live show was recorded at Paradiso Noord in Amsterdam. Lettuce’s live shows really get the crowd moving, something which hasn’t gone unnoticed by drummer Adam Deitch, “There are some really funky bands out there and I think judging by these crowds that we’ve been having, I think people really love funk music and our version of it, which is mixed with hip hop and a psychedelic edge. It seems to be working and we’re still shocked and just amazed and very thankful and grateful that these people are coming to see it.”
