Happy National Love Your Red Hair Day, BISS Listers!

I know I love mine, and I hope you love whatever color you’re rocking! Days like this are a fun reminder to celebrate individuality and the color we each bring to this community, on and off the dance floor. The BISS List has always been about that connection: different people, same groove, all coming together for the love of live music.

Last Week in Review: Halloween weekend brought that energy in full force. Let’s take a look back before we dive into another week packed with shows, spotlights, and plenty more to love.

Sun 11/2: Pink Talking Fish @ Sweetwater Music Hall – By Sunday, I thought I might rally for one more, but the weekend caught up with me. Luckily, Julia stayed strong and caught Pink Talking Fish at Sweetwater Music Hall. Thank you again, Julia, for capturing the night so beautifully. You can read her recap here.

Mark Your Calendar: Quite a few coming up that I’m especially excited about, including two hosted by yours truly.

11/13: GLIDE Annual Holiday Jam @ The Warfield (*WIN*) – This annual benefit concert brings together an incredible lineup of artists to celebrate love, inclusion, and social justice, all while supporting GLIDE’s essential programs for those in need. It is a feel-good night that reminds us what community is all about.
11/14: Marmot King’s Game Night @ Manny’s Cafe – There will be card games, board games, and at least one (maybe two!) game(s) hosted by me with prizes. We’ll also have special guest Jordan Feinstein bringing us live music throughout the night. Hint: one game might just incorporate live music, and the other could be a fan favorite I’ve hosted before. Come hang, play, and vibe.
11/15: Little Hurricane @ Cornerstone Berkeley (*WIN*) – ft Anthony “Tone” Catalano, Hattie Craven, and Ryan Kronenberg
11/20 – 11/22: LowDown Brass Band @ Black Cat (*WIN*) – A three night residency with the dynamic, horn-driven ensemble from Chicago. More in the spotlight below
12/3: 14th Annual BISS List Holiday Cocktail Party @ Fishbowl Bar & Grill, 7pm – It is almost that time again. Kick off the season with the 14th Annual BISS List Holiday Cocktail Party, featuring special guest Startender Elie behind the bar. Always a great night of friends, music, and holiday cheer, and you know you don’t want to miss this one.

From the Montreal Jazz Fest to Cotai Jazz Fest, LowDown has lit up stages across the globe—and now they’re bringing that same fire to San Francisco. With three acclaimed albums in just four years, the band continues to break genre boundaries and redefine what modern brass can be.
