BISS List 3.12.26 Spotlight on Midnight North ft Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck (4.4) + The Best of BISS This Week

Are you feeling as lucky as I am this week, BISS Listers?

After that incredible day in the Panhandle at Golden Gate Park, I am still flying high. It reminded me exactly why this community exists in the first place. Music in the park, friends everywhere, thousands of people dancing, connecting, and simply being present together. Moments like that do not happen by accident. They happen because musicians keep showing up, because fans keep supporting live music, and because we all keep choosing to be part of something bigger than ourselves. I also felt truly honored to be part of the crew helping make it all happen.

That feeling has carried straight into this week. With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, there is a playful reminder to go out and find your own pot of gold. Around here, that often looks like taking a chance on a show, following the groove, and ending up somewhere unforgettable. If last weekend was any indication, there are plenty of opportunities ahead to keep the good vibes rolling and create a few more lucky moments together.

Fri 3/13: Atta Kid w/ The Attic @ Boom Boom Room (*WIN*) – A perfect late-night move if you’re ready to dance it out after Game Night.
Sat 3/14: ALO: Tour d’Amour XVIII @ The Fillmore (*WIN*) – With St. Patrick’s Day around the corner, consider this your chance to find your pot of gold because “All That Glitters Is Gold.”

Midnight North ft Grahame Lesh & Elliot Peck

April 4th @ Presidio Theatre

Midnight North takes its cue from the fertile Bay Area music scene. Formed in early 2012 by singer/songwriters Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck, whose harmonies came as naturally as the initial songs, along with bassist Connor O’Sullivan. The band’s current-day lineup was completed when drummer/banjo player Nathan Graham came aboard after a chance meeting at a benefit concert in Philadelphia in 2016 following the release of its third, and breakthrough, album, Under the Lights, in 2017. In the early days, the group was able to grow as a unit thanks to an association with Lesh’s family venue Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael. As part of their very limited NorCal Spring 2026 shows, Midnight North makes their Presidio Theatre debut.

Hard to Handle in the Panhandle

For the first time in almost 60 years, the music of the Grateful Dead was played live atop a flatbed truck at Hard to Handle in the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park on Sunday afternoon. The four-hour extravaganza featured three sets of classic Dead tunes performed by two eminently worthy Bay Area bands, Danny’s Live Dead and China Cats.
