Sex Pistols (Steve Jones, Paul Cook, Glen Matlock) ft Frank Carter w/ The Molotovs

The Warfield
The Sex Pistols an English punk rock band formed in London in 1975. Although their initial career lasted just two and a half years, they became culturally influential in popular music. The band initiated the punk movement in the United Kingdom and later inspired many punk, post-punk and alternative rock musicians. Now fronted by Frank Carter who on the afternoon of his first appearance onstage with the Sex Pistols, last summer at Bush Hall, his peaceful afternoon stroll on the streets of Shepherd’s Bush was interrupted by a stranger sat outside a pub. “Big shoes,” the man shouted; nothing more, nothing less.

LIVE 105 presents: Lord Huron was created by Los Angeles-based artist Ben Schneider in 2010. After writing and recording two independent EPs (Into the Sun and Mighty) on his own, demand grew for Lord Huron to perform live. Schneider recruited friends Mark Barry (percussion), Miguel Brise–o (bass) and Tom Renaud (guitar). Having first played music together at the tender age of 12, the group reunited and quickly hit their stride, transforming the project into a full-fledged live band. Lord Huron’s debut LP Lonesome Dreams was released in 2012 followed by Strange Trails in 2015 + Kevin Robert Morby (born 2 April 1988) is an American musician, singer, and songwriter, former member of Woods and The Babies, Morby has released seven solo studio albums: including Harlem River (2013)

It’s appropriate that Boz Scaggs’ new album is Out of the Blues, since the blues is what first sparked his five-decade musical career. Born William Royce Scaggs in Canton, Ohio on June 8, 1944, he grew up in Oklahoma and Texas, where he spent his teenage years immersed in the blues, R&B and early rock ‘n’ roll. While attending school in Dallas, he played in local combos. After several years as a journeyman musician around Madison, WI and Austin, TX, Scaggs spent time traveling in Europe, the Middle East and Asia, eventually settling in Stockholm where he recorded the album Boz. Returning to the U.S. in 1967, Scaggs joined the Steve Miller Band in San Francisco.
