If you would like us to post an event, please submit your event on our Event Submission Page at least two weeks prior to the event. If we approve of your event, we will do our best to list them correctly, but please be patient as we are a small operation and highly imperfect.

Fleck, an eighteen-time Grammy Award-winner, is known for his innovative sound with the Flecktones and beyond. Sánchez, a four-time Grammy Award-winning drummer, gained international acclaim for his score on the Oscar-winning film Birdman. Dead on The Creek (8/8-8/10) ft Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, The Freestone Peaches, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, and much more @ Black Oak Ranch

This year’s lineup features a stellar roster of performers: Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, The Freestone Peaches, Halden Wofford & the Hi*Beams, Brown Eyed Women, Achilles Wheel, Broken Compass Bluegrass, Shakedown Strings, Alamo Mission Band, and Shakedown String Band.

Dead on the Creek pays homage to the improvisational energy, deep connection, and sense of togetherness that Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead inspired in their fans. Starting as a small gathering of Deadheads on Uncle John’s property in Willits, it was moved to Black Oak Ranch in 2024. This festival creates a space where music lovers can gather to celebrate the shared spirit inspired by the legendary band that brought people together through music. This year marks the 30th year of Jerry Garcia’s passing on to another space and the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead journey. **WIN TICKETS**

Yellowman w/ DJ Sep

Sweetwater Music Hall

Yellowman was born Winston Foster in Negril, Jamaica, in 1959 (some accounts say 1956). An early target for abuse because of his albinism, he grew up in an institution in Kingston, with little to keep him company besides music. Influenced by early toasting DJs like U-Roy, he practiced rhyming and got a job with the Gemini Sound System as a substitute DJ, christening himself Yellowman and dressing in a bright yellow suit. In 1979, he won a landslide victory at the well-known Tastee Talent Contest, and within months he had become one of Jamaica’s top concert draws.

APE is a six-piece band from San Francisco and the only band in the world that features a live Tiki Carver. APE is anything but conventional. Their instrumentation is a nontraditional mix of steel guitar, ukuleles, baritone and electric guitars, bass, drums and a variety of percussion instruments.
