BISS List 6.4.26 Spotlight on Siesta Valley Bowl + The Best of BISS This Week and More

Happy June BISS Listers!

First off… thank you. Between all the comments, check-ins, reports of your musical escapades, and general love coming my way lately, I’ve been feeling very grateful for this community while I’m recovering from this injury nonsense. Current status over here is still healing, hydrating, attempting to make responsible decisions, and carefully budgeting my energy to run the VIP program at Sonoma Wild this weekend. Honestly though… if I have to choose one event to rally for, this feels like a pretty great choice.

Next it’s full High Sierra Music Fesitval mode for me… prepping to run the FestivALL VIP program and hopefully getting myself back into shape to have a little fun too. I’m excited to share that High Sierra now has single day tickets available, and you can win tickets for the day of your choice!

Make sure to check out our weekly Hot List reel featuring our top picks of the week. Here a few select shows for this weekend:

Mark your calendar for the inaugural season at Siesta Valley Bowl, a new outdoor venue in the East Bay. BISS Lister Booka was their a soft launch last weekend and reported back that, “Siesta Valley Bowl is breathtakingly beautiful. What impressed me most was the venue’s natural sense of intimacy—a rare combination of seclusion, majestic rolling hills surrounding the stage, and exceptional sound quality. It’s exciting to see the Bay Area gain a unique music venue capable of showcasing both world-class artists and outstanding local talent.” Keep scrolling to find out more about Siesta Valley Bowl in the spotlight below. They’ve got a lineup of shows that you won’t want to miss, and chances to win tickets to all of them!

Summer is officially heating up, the calendar is packed, and even from the sidelines I can feel the momentum building. Thanks for continuing to be part of this weird, wonderful little music community that keeps all of us connected.

BISS Selected Shows

Siesta Valley Bowl is bringing live music back to one of the Bay Area’s most scenic outdoor performance spaces. The venue occupies the former home of the Bruns Amphitheater, where Cal Shakes held performances from 1991 to 2024. Now operating under a new 15-year lease, Siesta Valley Bowl aims to serve as a cultural destination, combining live music, theater, and community programming in a beautiful open-air setting in the East Bay hills

The season opens tomorrow night with an inaugural concert from proto-punk legend Jonathan Richman. More than a dozen shows are already scheduled in the coming months, including The Breaks, with members of Galactic, New Mastersounds, and Greyboy Allstars (Eddie Roberts, Stanton Moore, and Robert Walter) + The Headhunters. Other upcoming performances include Rebirth Brass Band & Soul Rebels, Beats Antique, and Jerry’s Middle Finger.

Visit siestavalleybowl.com to check out all of the upcoming shows. Make sure to sign up for their newsletters to be the first to hear about concert announcements, community events, presales, and special programs in Siesta Valley.
